It was great to see so many new and familiar faces during the three-day, in-person CGMC Summer Conference last week! More than 100 city officials and business leaders from over 40 Greater Minnesota communities convened July 26-28 at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls for our annual summer event. CGMC elects 2023-2024 officers

At the full Membership Meeting on July 28, members elected a new slate of officers to lead the organization for the rest of the year and through the 2024 legislative session. The new officers are:

  • President – Rick Schultz, Mayor of St. Joseph
  • 1st Vice President – Shelly Carlson, Mayor of Moorhead
  • 2nd Vice President – Keri Johnson, Councilmember, St. Peter
  • Secretary – Marshall Hallock, Administrative Business Director, Red Wing
  • Treasurer – Lisa Bode, Government Affairs Director, Moorhead

Schultz replaces Thief River Falls Mayor Brian Holmer, who served as CGMC President for the previous year. We extend our gratitude to Mayor Holmer for being an exceptional president over the past 12 months!
