Legislators are expected to convene for a special session one week from today. With the need to pass the next two-year state budget looming over their heads, we fear that the bonding bill — and all the critical infrastructure needs funded through it — could be overlooked.

We need your help! Please contact your legislators and urge them to pass a bonding bill during the special session that addresses key priorities for Greater Minnesota.

Take Action Now!

Contact the four legislative leaders, your state senator and your state representative TODAY and urge them to pass a bonding bill during the special session.

Tell them:

  • A bonding bill that invests in critical infrastructure and helps create jobs is a key component in helping Minnesota’s economy recover from the pandemic.
  • The bonding bill must include significant funding for programs and projects that are important to Greater Minnesota including:
    • $100 million for Public Facilities Authority water and wastewater grant and loan programs
    • $10 million for the Child Care Facilities Grant Program
    • $20 million for the Greater Minnesota Business Development Public Infrastructure (BDPI) Grant Program
    • $2.5 million for a new workforce housing public infrastructure grant program
  • If the Legislature fails to pass a bonding bill during this special session, critical infrastructure needs across Minnesota will continue to pile up and project costs will increase.
  • Tell your story! Share examples of how a bonding bill and investments in infrastructure will benefit your community, region and our state.
