Local Government Aid (LGA), the key program that helps cities pay for vital services and hold down property taxes, is currently under attack by some members of the Legislature. The CGMC is committed to protecting LGA and helping cities obtain the funding they need to not only function, but to thrive. As result, we have decided to devote most of the first day of our annual Fall Conference to LGA: why it matters and what we can all do to strengthen the program. The second day will focus on setting the CGMC’s policy positions and legislative strategies for the upcoming year. The full conference agenda is available here.

The conference will be held Thursday, Nov. 12-Friday, Nov. 13 at Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center in Alexandria. To register, please fill out this form and email, mail or fax it to the listed contact. Please register by Nov. 2. If you have any questions about the conference, please contact Julie Liew at 651-259-1917 or jlliew@flaherty-hood.com.
