The CGMC summer conference is an annual event where greater Minnesota city officials meet to reflect on policy decisions made in the preceding session and discuss the outlook for the upcoming session. During election years, the summer conference also hosts candidate forums. This year, the summer conference will be held August 18-20 in Winona. Highlights of the conference include:
- Gubernatorial candidate forum
- State auditor candidate forum
- 2010 Jobs bill panel
- “Square-off” between Reps. Marty Seifert and Tom Rukavina on whether conservative or progressive policies are better for rural Minnesota
- Legislative awards dinner with keynote speaker Kerri Miller
We look forward to a productive, informative, and enjoyable summer conference!
