The Greater Minnesota Partnership, CGMC’s economic development-focused partner organization, is holding its annual membership meeting virtually from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26. This is an opportunity for GMNP leaders to update the members about successes at the Capitol during the 2021 legislative session and special session, and preview what is coming up in 2022.
In addition, the meeting will include a conversation with Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) Commissioner Steve Grove. The conversation will touch on issues such as Greater Minnesota’s economy coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, how the new $8 million Main Street Redevelopment Fund will help drive Greater Minnesota’s economic growth, and what we may see from DEED during the 2022 session.
