We just received confirmation that Governor Tim Walz is planning to speak at our Legislative Action Day event next Wednesday. He will address our members at 11:30 a.m. — just before lunch.
Following the Governor, we will feature a panel discussion with legislative leaders including House Speaker Melissa Hortman (DFL-Brooklyn Park), Senate Deputy Majority Leader Mark Johnson (R-East Grand Forks), House Minority Leader Kurt Daudt and Senate Minority Leader Melisa López Franzen. The leaders will discuss key issues for the legislative session such as Local Government Aid, bonding, economic development priorities and the state budget.

Our annual “day at the Capitol” event will be held Wednesday, March 2 in St. Paul. Legislative Action Day is always a great opportunity to build connections between local officials and legislators and advocate for the priorities of Greater Minnesota cities.
