It’s not too late! There’s still time for to sign up and join a CGMC Policy Committee, which is one of the most important ways you can play a role in the CGMC’s work.
CGMC Policy Committees meet virtually each fall for a deep dive into one key CGMC policy area. Our lead lobbyist for that issue will provide updates from last session and facilitate an in-depth discussion on what the CGMC’s priorities should be for the upcoming legislative session. Each committee will draft the CGMC’s updated 2026 policy positions for review and approval by CGMC membership at the Fall Conference in November. Committees typically meet once in September or early October unless additional discussion is needed.
We rely on this input and feedback from our members to ensure that we’re laser-focused on the issues that are the most important for you and your community. Policy committees are open to all CGMC members, whether you’re already an expert or interested in learning more about the CGMC’s priorities.
