One of the first steps cities must take if they hope to receive funding through the Public Facility Authority (PFA) is to position themselves on the Project Priority List (PPL). Now is the time to apply for that list so that your city can access low-interest loans or grants for wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water projects.

For wastewater and stormwater projects, applications for the Clean Water Revolving Fund PPL are due to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency on or before March 5. More information can be found here or by contacting Bill Dunn of the MPCA at 651-757-2324 or dunn@state.mn.us

For drinking water projects, applications for the Drinking Water Revolving Fund PPL are due by May 7 to the Minnesota Department of Health. More information can be found here or by contacting Chad Kolstad of MDH at 651-201-3972 or kolstad@state.mn.us.

After applying for the PPL, the next step is to apply for the PFA’s Intended Use Plan by June 4. More information can be found here or by contacting Becky Sabie of the PFA at 651-259-7470 or sabie@state.mn.us.
