Registration is now open for the CGMC Fall Conference 2021! This in-person conference will be held Thursday, November 18 – Friday, November 19 at the Willmar Conference Center and will feature presentations, discussions and speakers on a number of important topics.

We are still in the process of finalizing the conference agenda, but some of the topics that we anticipate to cover at the conference include:

  • The ongoing child care crisis and how your city may be able to take advantage of state programs and grants aimed at combating this problem
  • How demographic changes from the 2020 Census will impact your city, region and the state
  • Minnesota’s current workforce shortage and what it means for Greater Minnesota businesses and communities
  • An update on labor and employee relations issues for local governments
  • A chance to discuss and learn from other city leaders about how cities are choosing to spend their American Rescue Plan dollars
  • A panel discussion featuring first-term legislators
  • …and much more!

This conference is especially important because it is the time when the full CGMC membership will have the opportunity to discuss and adopt CGMC’s policy positions and priorities for the upcoming legislative session. It is critical that your city lend its voice to this discussion!
