We are excited to announce that Governor Tim Walz will be joining us as the luncheon speaker at CGMC’s Summer Conference on July 29!
The last time he spoke at a CGMC event was in March 2020 — and a whole lot has happened since. We look forward to hearing the Governor’s insights on a range of topics including the outcomes of the legislative session, COVID-19 response and relief, and his vision for Greater Minnesota in the months and years ahead.
The CGMC Summer Conference will be held Thursday, July 29 – Friday, July 30 at Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center in Alexandria. It marks our return to in-person events after nearly 17 months filled with webinars, Zoom meetings and way too much time in front of computer screens. Register today at greatermncities.org/product/2021-summer-conference-registration/.
In addition to Gov. Walz, the conference agenda includes speakers, presentations and panel discussions featuring state leaders, key legislators and policy experts on an array of important topics such as the new two-year state budget, Local Government Aid reform, lessons learned from the pandemic, innovative ideas for parks & trails, how to find common ground and better communicate with your constituents and fellow city leaders, and more. It will also feature our annual awards dinner celebrating legislators and city leaders who had a strong positive impact on Greater Minnesota during the past year. We hope to see you there!
