The CGMC is a strong advocate for state policies and additional funding to improve our state’s transportation system and help repair Greater Minnesota’s aging roads, bridges and city streets.

We are leading the fight to ensure that regional balance continues to be a key factor in the distribution of the state’s transportation funding.

We believe that funding sources should be distributed equitably to meet the transportation needs of both Greater Minnesota and the metro area.

Our recent legislative successes and other notable achievements include:

Instrumental in the creation of the Corridors of Commerce program, which has received more than $1.1 billion to help fund 34 vital highway projects across the state.

Played a key role in the development of the Small Cities Assistance Program.

Helped establish the Airport Infrastructure Renewal (AIR) Grant Program which provides funding for infrastructure projects at local and regional airports in Greater Minnesota.
